Yeomans – Bexhill on Sea

A Vanguard / case study

These works were implemented to split an existing car dealership into two sales areas to facilitate a new Peugeot showroom being formed into an existing Hyundai dealership.

The works required the strip out of all fixtures and fittings and the demolition of most of the internal walls of the existing building to open the areas up. A large amount of structural steelwork and builder’s works were introduced into the building to facilitate the removal of several structural walls. Existing external openings were blocked up along with new openings being formed to allow the installation of new external glazing, pedestrian access doors and bi-folding doors for vehicle access. New external cladding was installed to all facets of the building.

New paving and drainage was installed to the front car park to facilitate the new entrances along with new totem signage bases.

New offices, parts, customer service and refreshment areas were created in both the sales areas. New stud walls were installed to form the new facilities along with new lay in grid ceilings throughout. The existing ceramic floor finishes were stripped up and chased out ready for floor services to be installed providing power and data to the new desk and counter locations. A full new electrical installation was installed along with new specification Peugeot and Hyundai feature lighting along with the installation of a new ventilation and air conditioning systems throughout. New offices were formed along with new customer and staff WC facilities.

All the newly formed and existing areas were then decorated to the new brand specification colours for both dealerships.

The existing workshop facilities were completely stripped out and a full new works shop was installed, including a new roof, new ceramic and resin floor finishes, decorations, roller shutters and new workshop equipment.

A complete new build extension was built onto the side of the building to extend the parts department.

These works were phased into two sections so the dealership could continue to trade whilst the works were completed.
