A new mezzanine was installed into an existing factory area to provide full new office amenities to an old empty warehouse. The mezzanine required new, due to the substandard ground conditions, capped piled foundations to be installed to take the load of the new mezzanine and fit out works.
On completion of the mezzanine installation new partition walls were formed to provide one-hour fire protection from the warehouse. New insulated partitions where installed to provide six offices to the first floor and new amenity facilities to the ground floor.
Penetrations where formed on both levels to connect the floors through to the existing office areas.
The ground floor had a new pharmacy area installed along with a new staffroom facility. New WC facilities were installed including full IPS panelling and shower facilities.
A complete new wet heating system was installed connected to the existing Biomass system. Full AC and ventilation services where installed along with new lighting, power and data services. New carpet tiling was installed throughout the first floor office areas with new sheet vinyl flooring installed to the ground floor areas. New Oak finished doors and frames were installed throughout along with a full staffroom facility including all required white goods. Decorations and wall finishes were completed to all the new areas.
The warehouse area was drylined to the whole of the perimeter ready to take the new warehouse racking and drug control facilities.
A second mezzanine was installed to the warehouse area to facilitate the drugs being transferred into the pharmacy area by a custom build conveyor / distribution system.
To control the delivery and distribution of more controlled substances a metal cage facility was built to the current drug control specifications.
