Project Details

The existing office partitioning, ceiling, lighting, washrooms, electrical and mechanical services were all left in place with just some minor decorations and floor finishes added for the new scheme. The majority of our works were in the main showroom, workshop and parts areas which were transformed into the new VW (Volkswagen) commercial vehicle showroom.

The showroom and the existing brand finishes and furniture were stripped out ready for new finishes to be implemented. The fit out of the showroom required the strip out and replacement of the ceramic floor tiling, which was installed after new data and power services were laid to the vehicle, desk and reception locations. The sales and first-floor mezzanine areas were completely redecorated, and a signage wall was built at a high level to take a feature VW sign. The ground floor sales and service offices received new lighting and were redecorated with a carpet tile finish, along with additional power and data services. The main entrance vehicle access door was removed to facilitate access into the showroom, and the curtain walling was reconfigured to accept a set of taller sliding vehicle access doors.

The existing parts area was split to provide storage and office space. Stud partitioning was utilised to form the new areas, into which glazed sliding screens were installed. Lighting, power and decorative elements were installed, and a vinyl floor was laid along with new stock racking.

The workshop had an existing blockwork storage and office building which was completely demolished to provide additional service space. Once this was down, workshop spec ceramic tiling was installed to the exposed area along with LED lighting. The main workshop was completely redecorated, with lighting and power services installed for the vehicle lifts. The existing sectional door was removed and replaced with a taller door. The old MOT bay was reconfigured to accept the larger testing equipment required to MOT the vans now being serviced in this facility.

Externally, areas of the existing block paved driveway were taken up and a drainage run was installed. The existing cladding was resprayed, and signage bases were formed to take new totem and entrance signage.
