Automotive Case study
These works were implemented to facilitate the new Ford branding of their dealerships nationally and the launch of the new Ford Mustang and Vignale range of motor vehicles at this particular dealership. The works required the strip out and demolition of areas of the existing building, including the internal walls of a redundant tyre bay area along with the existing ground floor offices.
This was to form a larger sales floor area which included newly formed offices and customer service and refreshment areas. Roller shutter doors were removed from the tyre bay area and new full height curtain walling installed along with a new automatic pedestrian entrance door. New external cladding was installed to both the main front and side customer facing elevations to cover the dated painted render finish originally installed. Also completed was the full strip up of the existing ceramic floor finishes, the floors were then chased out to enable new services to be installed into the floor providing power and data to the new desk and counter locations. A new toilet block and staffroom area was built on an existing mezzanine floor.
A full new electrical installation was installed along with new specification Ford feature lighting along with upgrades to the existing air conditioning and heating systems. A new spiral staircase was installed to allow customers to access the mezzanine to newly formed sales desk locations. All the newly formed and existing areas were then decorated to the new Ford specification colours.
Along with the new area being fitted out refurbishment works were carried to the existing staff canteen and parts department and a full Ford specification internal showroom equipment installation was installed. Externally and new washbay area was formed along with new drainage and interceptor thanks. Whilst the works were completed all the staff where relocated into temporary offices located in the carpark.
