Hopitality Fit Out
Leisure and Hospitality Case study
The Client requested we provide a hospitality area for the substantial number of customers they entertained to get refreshments throughout the day.
The fit-out of this area was part of a much larger project within which a mezzanine floor was installed. This area was formed underneath the new mezzanine. The mezzanine area was underdrawn to provide 1-hour protection to the areas above and a 1-hour fire-rated wall was installed to separate the restaurant area from the main display. This included 2 no-fire-rated windows and fire-rated doors. Two meeting rooms were formed with new stud partitioning, joinery, lay-in grid ceilings, and carpet tiled flooring along with lighting, electrical power, and data services.
One of the two meeting rooms also had a new fire exit door cut into the existing external cladding system to meet the requirements for fire escape routes from the building. The area was leveled and prepared for the installation of wood effect vinyl flooring in the main seating area and vinyl sheet flooring installed to the kitchen area.
The main seating and kitchen area walls were finished in ceramic tiles with new booth seating installed. A meeting area was finished with carpet.
A full lighting installation, including feature pendant lighting, electrical power, audio system, air conditioning, plumbing and ventilation system was installed along with specialist ventilation to the kitchen area.
The off the shelf back bar unitary was installed followed by the bespoke front bar which included a height drop to allow for the catering display units. The front bar was finished in a decorative tile to the lower section and a laminated decorative panel to the serving point. 38mm laminated worktops in contrasting finishes were fitted prior to the catering equipment being installed. Grey metro tiles created a feature back wall and provided a sanitary splash back within the food preparation area.
The existing WC facilities were stripped out and completely refurbished. New WC partitioning was installed along with new IPS systems and vanity units. New lay in grid ceilings were installed with new lighting, hand driers and general power services. A completely new plumbing installation and sanitaryware system was installed along with tiled splashbacks and mirrors. The floor area was fully prepared with new vinyl and coved skirtings installed.
All areas were then prepared and fully decorated.
