Retail Case study
Having worked on a number of DSG (Currys / PC World) over the years, we were approached to tender for the fit-outs, incorporating Carphone Warehouse and Apple Concessions. Following an extensive tender and selection process, we were awarded 6 stores across the south of the UK, where we were tasked to design and build a number of mezzanine floors and feature staircases, along with other associated fit-out works.
In total, 12 new Mezzanine floors were fitted, each one having its own challenges, as all were existing trading stores. These stores were closed during the duration of the works, with the exception of Barnstaple, which was sectioned off and a proportion of the store remained trading throughout.
The scope of works were inclusive of but not limited to: Sales Mezzanine Floors, Back of House / Storage Mezzanine Floors, Feature Staircases, Glass Handrail, Glass Balustrade, Access Staircases, Internal and External Fire-Escapes, Fire Protection to the Mezzanine Floors and the installation of Evacuation Chairs.
