Split-level mezzanine floor
A Vanguard Commercial & Office/ Mezzanines case study
- Sector: Commercial & Office/ Mezzanines
Designed to incorporate access for larger deliveries, this project required the design and installation of an unusual split-level mezzanine floor. A feature stainless steel balcony and contoured suspended ceiling maximised available headroom.
Woodlodge Products are the largest Pottery distributor to the Trade in the UK with products sourced from over 20 Countries they supply the majority of Garden Centres in the British Isles.
Vanguard Contracts were originally approached by Woodlodge to design and install an unusual split-level Mezzanine Floor within an existing Grain Store.
As the plan was to re-site and expand the existing office and sales team, a Turnkey proposal was produced by Vanguard to include all internal partitions, insulated drylining, ECA compliant VRF air conditioning, LG7 lighting, data installation and floorcoverings.
The unusual split-level design which was to give access to large deliveries through the existing roller shutter door below gave the opportunity to create feature stainless steel balcony areas within the office space and a contoured suspended ceiling was employed to give the maximum available headroom.
Vanguard also made structural alterations to the existing building steelwork to allow the incorporation of external windows at mezzanine level and the breaking though between the new and existing facilities.
The entire project was Project Managed by Vanguard Contracts and completed in 6 weeks.
