Mezzanine Floor for new retail furniture warehouse

Vanguard were contracted by Thomsons World of Furniture in Dunfermline to convert an empty 20,000 ft Call Centre, adjacent to J3 M90, into their new retail base, in order to facilitate  the sale of their existing site to Tesco's.

As the existing building was purpose built, a considerable amount of structural alteration to the facade was required to incorporate new shopfront windows and braces were removed internally to facilitate the new retail layout.

Internal offices and computer floors were removed and levels adjusted to enable a Vanguard Mezzanine Floor to be installed to achieve an additional 13,000 ft of retail space.

The entire project was completed within 10 weeks and the store was able to re-locate with the least amount of inconvenience possible to the Retail Operation.
