Vanguard Contracts were engaged by Brightwell Systems – the new owners of the recently renovated ‘Saggar House’, part of the Waterside re-development of the former Worcester Porcelain Works. The brief was to produce a fit out scheme & visualisation package that would be sympathetic to the original building features – yet create a modern agile working space, suitable for both the immediate and future requirements of their business.

Vanguard carried out the full Cat-B fit-out to include frameless glass partitions, curved stud walls, metal framed solid acoustic ceilings, energy efficient flat panel LED lighting, structured cabling, raised access flooring, VRF air conditioning, storage walls, decorations, joinery & floorcoverings.

The idiosyncrasies of the existing structure including exposed beams and points of restricted headroom dictated that the ducted services in particular be planned and hidden within new and existing features. The form, textures and colour schemes were selected to reflect the building’s history and proposed functionality.
